2012 START BACK AT SCHOOL OUTING

We decided the day before school all started up, we would take the kids on a
special trip and make the most of being together one last time.

We went down to Birkenhead Wharf and waited for the Ferry.

We then hopped on the ferry and Niwa took his bike

Going under the Harbour Bridge

Our Handsome Arama (he is growing up boo hoo)

There were many Cruise ships in the city,  this was one of them.
The kids thought they were amazing

We then walked up Queen Street and enjoyed the atmosphere.

This Guy was a Maori artist who did these really cool Street Art paintings in about 6 mins,  Very Cool!

This is a famous Anglican Cathedral in the city

This is Niwa outside the Cathedral,  Charming!

This is us at an Italian Pizza place.  Now you have to look at the
following photos because we ordered a meter long Pizza. I thought
it might be a meter long but very skinny.

But you wouldn't believe it,  It was so HUGE, our whole family couldn't even eat half of it!

Something Foodie Terina said to me at this table this night was, "Mum do you wish you were a knife?"  I said,  "ummm, I am not sure why?"  And she said, "Because then you could taste everything!"
Well I guess that is true,  I had never thought of that before!  LOL

Niwa getting a bit full above !

On our way back down the street,  Arama had a photo of this Police  bike next to his.  FUNNY,  the police man was a bit dry with very little personality!

We were waiting in the line ready to hop on the Ferry.
Terina said something else funny. Keep in mind that she was
squashed up right next to a lady,  a total stranger!
Mum,  "Why do we celebrate Easter?"  I answered by saying,
"Well why do we celebrate Christmas?"  She said,
"because it's Jesus' birthday", I then asked her,  "then what do you
think Easter is all about?"  She answered by saying, "When Jesus died".
I said,  "Yes that is right".  Then she randomly said "So why do we celebrate Halloween?".
I said "well Halloween, doesn't  really have anything to do with Jesus".
Then she said "Oh yeah Halloween is when we can have a break from Jesus aye,
we can just stop talking about him for a while aye!"  The lady reading her book
right next to me (you can see her),  did a very good job of pretending to
still be engrossed in her book.  It was so funny, because she said it in a way that
was so matter of fact.

WE ARRIVED HOME NICE AND EARLY TO PREPARE FOR OUR FIRST DAY AT SCHOOL THE NEXT DAY FOR 2012!  A LOVELY FAMILY EXPLORATION!
