Yesterday at Rugby Niwa got Player of the Day. He was so funny, and was so excited to get his trophy. He couldn't wait to get home to ring his girlfriend Maia and tell her he got Player of the Day! So cute! She wasn't home so he couldn't wait to see her at church today to tell her.
He said to me yesterday "Mum when I die, can you place my trophy on top of my coffin?" I said sure but you need to give your trophy back next Saturday so you hopefully won't die before then. He was very disapointed to discover that it wasn't his to keep.

I went into his bedroom today and discovered this little 'line up' of trophies on his bedroom floor. His 'player of the day' trophey was sitting beside two of his poppa's trophies which his poppa gave to him. It was so neat and it really touched my heart that he was so chuffed with himself and that a little bit of dad lived on in the moment! Dad has been gone 6 months tomorrow so our hearts are tender at this time.
