TERINA'S BEYONCE DREAM COMES TRUE

Beyonce Tickets

LAST NIGHT WAS SUCH A NIGHT TO REMEMBER!

Terina LOVES  Beyonce and she has been asking all week if she can go to her concert.  Of course the answer has been no as we just can't afford the price of the tickets.  Anyway,  I told her all week that  we would sneak into town on Friday night and sit outside Vector Arena and see if we could hear her.  So last night we did that!  Kylee,  my niece, Terina and I went.  We got a perfect car park right across the road and we walked up to the Vector Arena.  We got right outside the doors and couldn't hear anything,  Terina looked very bummed!  There were security guards on all of the doors and they kept closing the doors.  Then one Poly Security Guard opened his door and asked if we were okay.  I said yes were were just dreaming that we might hear Beyonce from the door.  He was very warm towards us and then asked Terina if she liked Beyonce,  and she said yes she was her favourite singer.   He talked to us for a while then he said can you promise to be honest and go in for 20mins.  I couldn't believe it!  I said YES of course!  He opened the door and in we went!!! WOW!  Terina looked shocked I don't think she imagined a live concert would look and sound like this,  her mouth gapped open for about the first 5 mins,  then she started screaming and singing once she realised where she actually was and that it wasn't a dream!    As we walked in,  her favourite song, 'Love on Top' started to play and  it was just amazing.  We stayed for 4 songs and she got changed 3 times.  The lighting and effects,  smoke, and fireworks kind of effects were so so cool.  We decided that we needed to leave after about 20 mins out of respect for the guy who let us in,  we wanted to keep our word.  He was gone when we got out but we left just at the right time.  As soon as we got into the car to drive away the crowds started pouring out and we totally missed that rush.  Mate how Heavenly Father hooked my special girl up that night!  My love for the heart of Poly people increased greater than it already was.  I loved how that guy was touched by Terina's spirit and just did what he did!  Little did he know that my girl will never ever forget this moment for the rest of her life.  We were so buzzing after we just talked and talked about it all the way home.  Terina said,  "Mum do you think I will be famous one day"?  I said yes of course my darling if you want to be.  WOW this dream came true for her and I am sure many more can!  We had no camera which was a bummer Terina is worried no one will believe her.  But who cares she knows it happened and will always remember her special night!

TERINA IS BAPTISED

I am so far behind on things.  I am sitting in the hospital and making the most of catching up on my blog.  However I don't have all the things here I need to include in every blog entry but I think it is better for me to put up some information now and the rest  later than leaving this even longer.  I feel like the longer I leave it,  the harder it is to catch up.

So my one and only girl Terina was baptised on Sunday the 28th of July 2013.  It was such a spiritual baptism and she loved it also!  We sat up the front of the chapel holding hands and at the end she was crying and had totally felt the spirit,  it was such a sweet feeling never to be forgotten.  When we got home I recorded my feelings in my diary as soon as I could before I forgot all the details.

I came away knowing Terina had done the right thing and that she was totally loved as so so many special family and friends came to support her on her special day.

See photo below of Keith and Terina practicing the baptism ordinance at home before we went to the chapel.  Fun!

See all the little kids and cousins etc watching for Terina as she came down the stairs into the font!  I love watching  little kids faces when they are watching people get baptised through the glass window,  I think their expressions are just heavenly!

Below some of the other adults and kids in the room to witness her baptism.  A special day!

I love this photo below of Terina and her Daddy just seconds after they came out of the font with their wet clothes on before they got changed.   I just think there is a look of True Joy on both of their faces.

After the baptism Eva (Mereana and Ryan's little girl),  came home with us While Arama went with them to a Fireside at Pah Road, they don't really know each other too well but they got on 'like a house on fire' and it seems that they are both as mad as each other in many ways  LOL!  This is the original activity they chose to do with the 'pick up sticks' game once they had finished the actual game,  much more crazy and funny than the original version of the game.

TERINA'S BIRTHDAY DINNER REQUEST

Terina's all time favourite is Sushi or fried rice.  So on her birthday she requested that I make Sushi for her and then ordered her Nanny Trish to bring her a few extra Chinese dishes  from the take away shop to add to her birthday dinner spread.  So here are a few photos of that special night.  She had Nanny Trish and Nanny Hall come and she also invited Milika a special friend of hers.

I knew in a few days that Terina was going to have a 'Kylee' Birthday cake so I whipped her up a basic choc cake for desert that night which was 'no frills' but it did the trick.

I just had to get a photo of Terina playing with this 'OOOEY GOOEY' stuff
out of all her presents, this one was her all time favourite.  It was a cheap as
$2 shop pressie but my Terina loves her messy,  tactile things and so this
was a real hit!  LOL!

Our other SPECIAL niece Nicole!

Last year I published a few posts on Nicole, especially of her getting married etc.  She was a very special niece also and over the years has done so many special things for us.  The day Terina was born she travelled down to Taumarunui on the train and arrived about 3 hours after she was born.  She stayed for the first week of Terina's life and she was the very first family member to meet Terina.  It was so so special that she came back to NZ 2 weeks ago,  as she now lives in Perth with her husband, Joel and their lovely new addition and bundle of joy, Matthew who is about 8 weeks old now.  He was such a cool little spirit and just so chilled and happy.   Here are some cute photos below of them all.

Terina and Niwa's Birthday.

Terina and Niwa's Birthday .

Terina turned 8 on the 14th July and Niwa turned 5 on the 17th of July.

We have been through some real tough stuff the past few weeks and were just going to flag the whole party/Birthday thing this year but then at the last min,  we thought stuff it we are going to have some fun.  So we invited all our favourite people to come for a Dance party.  See the I movie invite above.

Lots of party photos to come.

PROTECTION CLOTHES ON AND READY TO WORK!

My Goodness my girl is such a crack up!  We are about to get some landscaping done around our house etc and Niwa loves to help.  Last Saturday Niwa was out helping his Daddy as usual.  Niwa had his boots and earmuffs and safety glasses on as he does when he goes out to ‘WORK’ with daddy.  Terina was a little bored so I told her to go and work outside too.  She said “I can’t mummy I don’t have any Protection clothes”.  I was working in the kitchen and I had forgotten about the whole topic of conversation.  Then all of a sudden she stomped into the kitchen and said, “Mum look I got my protection clothes on now!”  I just couldn’t help myself and burst into laughter .  She had on my raincoat with the hood over her head ,  her ugg boots,  her swimming goggles and as the day went on she found one old knitted glove from when she was about two and spent a good while looking for its matching one but to no avail.   Below are some photos of her special Protective outfit!  LOL   LOL  LOL!

Her goggles cracked me up most of all as they were suctioned onto her face so tight that her eyes were all distorted and you could see this through  the plastic,  It was honestly SUCH A CRACK UP!

Camp Mother with her Protective clothes on!
I love how Terina is full of such Creative ideas,  look at her she is just so delicious!
I am sure the 'NZ Safety' shop Keith goes to on a regular basis for his work,  would be most impressed by the wonderful example she is setting to all the workers out there.  HA HA!

WE BURY DADS ASHES

On Wednesday the 9th of Jan 2013 we went up to Snapper Rock as a family and buried dads ashes.  It was just Mum,  Aaron and Sharis and Ethan,  Me, Keith, Arama, Terina and Niwa and Terry (Dads best friend and Business partner). The only ones missing were Aunty Colleen, Uncle Ken,  Sarah and the rest of the family.

It was the most amazing weather and we had a lovely day.

We got 10 Helium balloons, one for each of us and when we had finished Burying the ashes,  we all cut one balloon each and said something as we released it into the sky.  It was so impromptu and special.  We all said something and it was quite emotional and spiritual.  We got this all on video which I would like to edit and  put on my blog at a later time.  I Liked what Terry said “I will cut the string but will never cut the ties”,  Ethan said,  “I hope you are enjoying playing bowls in Heaven Poppa”,  Terina said “I love how you gave me money every Wednesday for Mini Muchie Markets at school Poppa”,  I said,  “Because of you Dad,  I will always try to ‘Reach for the Stars’,  Mum said "I think of you all the time Roddy",  Keith said “We will see you again someday Rod”,  I can’t remember everything everyone said but these are some of the words I remembered.

It was kind of cool how we just sat around informally chatting about our special Hero.

My special Arama contemplating.

Below:  These are Dads Cherry Tomatoes that have just turned red.
Mum Buried some with his box of ashes.  She also took some roses from
the garden that grew outside their bedroom window.

Below:  Arama wiping away his tears. My Darling
Arama was so close to My Dad but Arama tells me
he isn't sad because he truely believes in the Plan that
Familes can be together forever.
Thank you Arama for being my strength!
I don't know where I would be without you!
I love you so much. xxx

Below the kids with their new Surrogate Poppa.
Not that there will ever be another one that could ever measure
up to my Greatest Hero Dad eva!

We all also had a turn at shoveling in some dirt on top of the ashes.
The next few photos are of us all having a turn with the shovel.

We truly loved our Dad and Poppa and Companion  (in mum’s case).

I have had a special dream since dad has passed to let me know that he
is not too far away at all,  this has been very sacred and comforting for me.
However....  on this day I missed him dearly.  I got home and I just
cried and cried and cried.  Some days I just can't believe he has passed!
I miss you so much my dear Daddy,  I know you are not far away but that
doesn't stop me from missing you.
Please be patient while I grieve for you.
You are my inspiration and will always be a good reason for me
to try harder each day and to get up and keep going when I feel discouraged and low.
You always were one not to muck around and to just 'get the job done'
so I won't waste too much
time crying but a little here and there won't hurt.
YOU ARE FOREVER IN MY HEART!
FAMILIES ARE FOREVER  xxxx
