KEITHY'S BIRTHDAY

Today was Keith’s Birthday.  The kids woke him up nice and early jumping on his yelling ‘Happy Birthday Daddy!’ They gave him their home made cards and then Terina had a lovely idea of making breakfast for him.  We watched as they both tried to slice the tomato and cook the toast etc it was so cute but I am glad for hygiene purposes that it wasn’t mine to eat  LOL!

They bought it to dad on a special tray with a special name tag on it, see the photos  HA HA.

Tonight we cooked a special roast dinner for him and instead of baking him a cake today we scored a grab one voucher for a cute little choc mud cake which was just enough for our family.  So that was a nice simple night at home for his birthday.

On Saturday Mum and Dad are taking the kids for the night and Keith and I are going out for dinner for his birthday and then we are going to come home and have a sleep in on Sunday  (Imagine that!)

Niwa up on the bench with his tounge out as he sprinkled Keith's pepper on his toast.

Keith's Birthday roast!

Keith's Birthday cake,  Note the finger prints by the Star,
whos could they be?

One candle is enough now, he is way too old for all
that candle counting business!  LOL

Terina finally did a little treasure hunt in the hope that her Daddy would find it.He finally
found the prize of 'Corn Chips' under his pillor.

A lovely Day but I am so tired,  off to bed!

NO SHE ISN'T DEAD!

Some of you might understand and believe me that my girl is a little different, we call it vibrant, creative, flamboyant???.  HA HA.

She went to bed tonight and about 10 mins later Keith told me to come and look at her.  So I went in and this is what I saw.  She was honestly fast asleep!

I think she looked like some sort of Egyptian  Mummy or perhaps An African Lady from the Zulu tribe (says Keith).  Feel free to add your opinion as to where you think she may have originated from this may help with our quest to diagnose some of her issues  LOL!

Just to reassure you she is still breathing.  To make things more odd, she had her fan blowing down upon her from the end of her bed!  Was she cold?  Was she hot?  I am confused!

One 'different Chick' is all I can say.  LOL.

Mothers Day Fun

Mothers Day this year was lovely!
It started the Night before.  Our church always puts on a ‘Mothers Day Dinner’ for all the ladies and their whanau and friends around the time of Mothers Day.  So we had a blast together with some of our Besties! Then after that we went to a local cafĂ© for hot choc etc.

On Sunday Morning I was woken nice and early arghhh! Excuse all the photos, remember I had hardly had any sleep!  LOL!  As if I didn’t get into bed late enough  LOL.

Terina made me fruit salad,  she had been asking me all week to get mandarins, Apples, bananas and grapes by Saturday in time for Mothers Day so I knew she was scheming something.  It was so cute.  I was woken and taken into the kitchen and it was all set up with my lovely surprises.  I love the fruit Salad she made (note the silver balls in it, now that’s a first)!

The kids had made lovely cards for me,  one from each of them.

The card below is Niwas' card to me.

The Card below is the one Arama made for me.  I
Loved the detail in his picture. I am bike riding in the
street and there are people walking up and down the
footpath.  All the letter boxes have numbers on them,
the trees have lovely shading on them etc,  the dyslexic
detail is amazing!

The card below is the one Terina made for me at school.
Her kind words melt me as usual!

Terina also made me this card below.

I think she copied a Maori Book of Mormon
cover as it says Ko te Pukapuka a Moromona
on the front of the card.  When you open the card
up you see a lovely drawing of the temple.

This is me opening my present.
They Gave me Annabel Langbein's cookbook,
'Free Range in the City'.

Then the kids said they were going to make waffles for breakfast.
I am actually the waffle Queen in our house so I kinda ended up making
them Ha HA!

More photos of us eating the waffles coming up.

All in all it was a lovely day filled with love and excitement!  My mum has been
on a Cruise around OZ the past few weeks so we didn't
get to see her  and Keith's mum was in hospital.
Keith and Terina went  to visit her in Hospital after we finished dinner.

NIWA'S TRIP TO THE AIRPORT

Today we went out to the Airport.  Des, the lady who looks after Niwa as well as the other  kids she looks after (Cody, Alex and Nicole), had been studying Different countries around the world etc.  They have been looking at culture also.  I went  and taught the kids some Waiata Maori,  the kids learnt a poi, a rakau song and a little Haka.  It was so much fun teaching the kids and seeing them respond.  Even Des was a natural.  Now you have no excuse Des for mis pronouncing Maori words  LOL.

At the airport today we went to the ‘Lookout’ to see the planes landing and taking off.  We also went to the departure area and the arrivals area to see people leaving and arriving.  We also went to McDonalds for lunch.

It was so fun being able to join our amazing caregiver Des on one of her self initiated trips, she is such a rare gem,  who our whole family appreciate so so much!  WE LOVE YOU DES!

TERINA'S FIRST NETBALL GAME

Today was Terina's first netball game.
Her team is called the
 'SUNNYBRAE SUNFLOWERS'.
The 'Sunflowers' really had no clue how
to actually catch the ball let alone play the game.
They played Westminster and Terina only touched the
ball twice and she is Goal Shoot so what does that tell you???

The score was 2 nil to Westminster.
She left saying it was so boring!
She just hung off the goal post at the other end most of the time.
Kyla came to cheer her on, see her below.

Terina in her famous GS bib.  Hopefully soon in
the near future she will know which end to shoot at, and
perhaps she may even learn some of the rules!   LOL
So cute.

See below:  Very bored at her end of the court.

Good sports at the end of the game shaking hands!

HIP HIP HOORAY!

I look forward to seeing you slowly understand the game Sunnybrae Sunflowers  LOL!
