TERINA GETS HER ADNOIDS OUT

These photos kinda make me laugh as they are nearly exactly the same as the shots we took of Niwa's trip to the same hospital for the same operation a few weeks ago.
Her operation was on Tues the 2nd of October.

Above and below:  us arriving at the hospital

Above and below:  In the play room

Below:  Terina with the Anesthetist before her operation

Terina with the amazing nurse 'Jo' who looked after her that day.

Below:  Niwa got a little sheepy,  Terina preferred to pick a Giraffe,  cute!

Me with my special 'theatre' costume on.  Lovely!

The photos below are of Terina after her operation.  She vomitted a bit and took a while to come right.

Below:  Still a bit drugged after her operation, but not too drugged to have a good Kai from this lovely 5 Star hospital LOL.  Don't you just love your kids more than ever when they are sick,  she was such a cut patient.  I love you my little Honey Girl  you are so Delicious!  Her healing process after the operation was great,  much better really than Niwa and back to school less than a week later!

I head there 4 weeks  from today for my surgery
except its a little more major than Adnoids,  I get to stay for 5 nights.  ARGHH!

NIWA BREAKS HIS ELBOW!!!!

Last Friday night,  Niwa broke his elbow.  I was in the kitchen and  Terina and Niwa were jumping on the tramp.  I could sense that Terina was getting a little too excited and was just about to tell her to calm down when I heard a massive scream from Niwa.  Now Niwa has quite a high pain tolerance level but I could tell by the cry that he was HURT!  Apparently Terina had fallen on him or Double bounced him as she said.    Anyway to cut a long story short,  I was one hour off going out for dinner with some of my friends and that never happened that night.
I called mum and Dad and they came over to watch the other two while Keith and I took Niwa in the car to ‘Shore Care’.  Niwa the poor Darling was in such agony!  I sat in the back seat holding him in a certain position so that he didn’t scream constantly in the process.    When we got there his pain didn’t calm down.  The doctors gave him pain relief and then gave him some morphine as it just wasn’t easing.  They took x-rays  and found he had broken his elbow and then decided to transport him in an ambulance to Starship Hospital.

See Keith Mr ‘Camera Man’ (I Phone) happy, taking photos of everything even when his son was in agony.  Crack up in hindsight but not at the time!

We were at Starship that night until 3am and his accident happened  about 5.30 in the evening.  They sent us for more and more x-rays and then plastered it up.

The Ambulance arrives!

 Arriving at Starship above.

In the plaster room at starship,  he had perked up a little at this stage after having quite a long sleep.  As you can see by the photos below I was NOT 'perked up' ,  Keith and I were shattered,  it was about 2 am by this stage.  Niwa thought all the things on the ceiling etc in this room were cool,  I just wanted to go to bed!  LOL!

He is still the usual ‘risk taking’ kid that he always was since his little incident,  look at these photos of him on the tramp 2 days after his accident,  you just can’t stop him!  He is still climbing trees, climbing ladders, riding his bike, swinging on swings  and still has  absolutely no fear on the Tramp!
I am convinced he is gonna break another bone before his elbow is healed!  LOL!

Today we went back to ‘Starship’ and he had to get another plaster.  They are a little concerned that he may also have nerve damage,  so we are back there again next week too!  Fun and games!  He was determined to have a PINK plaster,  they said he could choose from Blue, Yellow, green, black, red and purple,  and he was unshaken,  he wanted a PINK  one and there was nothing stopping him! So there you have it and he thinks he is hot!!!

Terina had her operation this week too, blog entry to come and then to top it off Arama got a vomit bug yesterday.  Its times like these I feel so blessed to be an ‘at home’ mum.  I actually love helping my kids when they are not 100%  I just love being able to comfort them like no one else can!  Its such a cool feeling cause no one does it better than MUM.  How blessed I am to be one!

OUR KELLY TARLTONS FAMILY TRIP

Last week our family went on a Holiday trip to Kelly Tarltons.  Here are some photos of us all there.  Terina and Niwa had never been there before and they were fascinated by all that they saw.  We haven’t done  many family things lately as Keith works many Saturdays and is always working in the Holidays,  he took the first two days of these holidays off so we had a chance to do a few things together which was really nice.

When Keith gets a camera,  he goes crazy,  so crazy in fact that he doesn't seem to realise that there are any people or family members around him,  you know men, they find it hard to multi-task,  well you put an artist in with the male mix and he is so zoned out also by the amazing colours and creative scenes everywhere around him.  But to tell you the truth some of the sea life here was amazing!  Here are some of Keiths shots below.  We long for a cool camera,  these are i pad photos!
